The Webinar Vet Retains Green Accreditation with Investors in the Environment

We’re pleased to announce that we have successfully passed our 2026 environmental review and retained Green Level accreditation with Investors in the Environment (iiE). This recognition reflects our continued commitment to sustainability, measuring our environmental impact and identifying ways to improve.

Green is iiE’s highest level of accreditation, recognising organisations that demonstrate environmental progress and take practical action across their operations and wider value chain.

Making sustainability part of what we do

Sustainability is an ongoing priority for us, influencing both how we operate as a business and how we support the wider veterinary profession. Through our online veterinary CPD/CE, we help veterinary professionals access high-quality education remotely, reducing the need for travel to attend training. We also plant two trees for every Unlimited Membership purchased and have planted more than 16,500 trees to date.

Our commitment extends beyond our own operations. Through our 3% Pledge, we commit to donating 3% of revenue from corporate sponsorship sales to external green funds. We’ve also supported practical conservation work through a team volunteer day at Brockholes Nature Reserve and our support for Lancashire Wildlife Trust’s rewilding work across more than 40 hectares.

Supporting a more sustainable veterinary profession

We believe meaningful environmental progress depends on collaboration, education and sharing ideas. That’s why we work to bring the veterinary community together to explore how we can make the profession more sustainable.

Since launching the Veterinary Green Discussion Forum in 2022, we’ve created opportunities for veterinary and animal health professionals to exchange ideas, discuss challenges and explore practical approaches to environmental sustainability.

Our wider initiatives include the annual Veterinary Green Awards, the Digital Doherty Sustainability Summit and our dedicated Green Hub, which brings together sustainability-focused webinars and resources. Through these activities, we aim to make environmental education accessible and help veterinary professionals identify practical ways to make a difference.

Continuing to learn and improve

Retaining Green Level accreditation is an important recognition of the work taking place across our organisation, but we know sustainability is an ongoing process. We’re committed to reviewing our impact, learning from our progress and identifying further opportunities to improve.

From developing internal policies and engaging our team to planting trees, supporting biodiversity and sharing knowledge across the veterinary profession, we’ll continue to look for practical ways to make a positive contribution.
