About Douglas Thamm:

Dr. Thamm serves as the Barbara Cox Anthony Professor of Oncology and Director of Clinical Research at the prestigious Colorado State University Flint Animal Cancer Center. His extensive expertise in veterinary oncology is reflected in his remarkable achievements. Dr. Thamm has authored over 175 peer-reviewed publications and 25 book chapters, establishing himself as a leading authority in both veterinary and basic cancer research. Notably, he co-edited the latest edition of the esteemed textbook Withrow and MacEwen’s Small Animal Clinical Oncology and serves as Co-Editor-In-Chief of the journal Veterinary and Comparative Oncology.

Recognized for his exceptional contributions, Dr. Thamm was awarded the Alan Kelly International Prize in Canine Health by The Kennel Club in 2023. Additionally, he holds the esteemed position of President-Elect of the Veterinary Cancer Society.
