Thewebinarvet.com is a fairly new company set up by Anthony Chadwick to answer a need for good quality, easily accessible CPD for busy practising vets. Many vets finish at 7 pm and then rush out for an 8pm meeting 40 minutes away up the motorway.
With webinars, all the student needs is a fixed line broadband connection, a decent computer with a sound card and a headset with optional microphone. After payment is made, an email is sent asking the vet to register now for the meeting. After pressing the button some information is required. Fill in the form and you will be sent another email which shows your link that you must press on the day of the webinar. Please arrive 10 minutes early on the day to download the software and allow the program to run efficiently.
A set of Logitech USB comfort headsets are useful for even better sound and questions at the end of the presentation but are not essential. The talks can even be accessed over the phone. You see the Powerpoint presentation on your computer screen and hear the speaker’s voice through your headphones or computer’s speakers. If these do not work, there is information on your invitation about attending the presentation over the phone.
